The terms governing our services.
These terms apply when you request a quotation, make a booking or use our waste collection and related services. Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.
1. About us
Rapid Waste Removal Ltd provides domestic and commercial waste removal services in Plymouth and surrounding areas. We are registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier under registration CBDU519875.
2. Quotations and estimates
Quotations and estimates are based on the information, photographs and access details supplied by you. Unless we confirm a fixed price in writing, the final charge may change if the type, quantity, volume or weight of the waste, required labour, parking, stairs, carrying distance, contamination or site access differs from the information provided. We will explain any material price change before carrying out the affected work.
A quotation remains valid only for the period stated when it is issued. If no period is stated, please confirm the price with us before booking at a later date.
3. Bookings and service delivery
A booking is confirmed when we accept it by telephone, email, WhatsApp or another written booking confirmation. Arrival times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Events outside our reasonable control, including traffic, severe weather, vehicle failure or unsafe conditions, may require us to delay or rearrange a collection. We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable.
4. Your responsibilities
You must provide complete and accurate information about the waste and collection site, ensure that you have authority to remove the items, and provide safe and reasonable access at the agreed time. You must disclose stairs, restricted parking, long carrying distances, unusually heavy items, contamination and known or suspected hazards before collection. You are responsible for obtaining any parking permission or permit unless we agree otherwise.
We may pause or refuse work where the information supplied is materially inaccurate, access is unsafe or unlawful, or the waste cannot be carried or transported safely.
5. Waste requiring specialist handling
Hazardous, regulated or specialist waste must be declared before booking. This may include asbestos or suspected asbestos, chemicals, solvents, oils, gas cylinders, clinical or biological waste, paint, batteries, pressurised containers and other dangerous materials. Some specialist waste may be accepted only after assessment and under a separate written quotation with appropriate controls. We may refuse undeclared or unsafe waste and charge reasonable costs already incurred.
6. Loading and waste transfer
We will transport accepted waste through authorised routes and facilities in accordance with our applicable duty-of-care obligations. Waste becomes our responsibility once it has been loaded onto our vehicle, except where an item was misdescribed, concealed or prohibited. We may provide a waste transfer note where required or agreed.
7. Payment
For domestic collections, payment is due on completion unless the booking confirmation or invoice states otherwise. Commercial or account work is payable within the period stated on the applicable quotation or invoice. We will disclose the accepted payment method and any deposit requirement before the booking is confirmed. We may recover interest and reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law for overdue sums.
8. Cancellations and changes
Please tell us as soon as possible if you need to cancel, postpone or change a booking. We do not apply a universal cancellation period. Any cancellation charge will be disclosed before the booking is confirmed and will reflect the booking terms and reasonable costs already committed. If we cancel, we will offer a reasonable alternative date or refund any amount paid for services not supplied. Your statutory cancellation rights, where applicable, are unaffected.
9. Rapid Quote waste estimates
When you use the Rapid Quote waste estimator, it analyses photographs and information supplied by you to describe the apparent waste. It does not set our prices. Our separate Rapid Waste Removal pricing engine applies our rates to the analysis.
Rapid Quote results are non-binding estimates, not confirmed quotations or guarantees. The final collection price may change if the actual material, amount, volume, weight, access, labour, contamination or hazardous content differs materially from the submitted information. Unclear, mixed, hazardous or otherwise uncertain loads may be referred for manual review. You must not rely on the estimator to identify asbestos or determine whether material is safe.
Photographs submitted to Rapid Quote are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not include people, vehicle registration numbers, documents or other unnecessary personal information in photographs.
10. Damage and liability
We will exercise reasonable care and skill. Please identify fragile surfaces, concealed services, weak structures and pre-existing damage before work begins. We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information, unsafe access, concealed defects, prohibited waste or events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights.
11. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied, contact us promptly at info@RWRemovalsltd.co.uk or call 07300 844 397, giving your booking details and a clear description of the issue. We will review the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable time.
12. Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms supplied or available when your booking is confirmed will apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts applicable to your part of the United Kingdom where the law permits. If you are acting in the course of business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
